Mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, family time: ‘Tis the season!
As we approach the holiday season, is your small business ready to rock product awareness and drive sales? Check out some tips to help you succeed during the holiday season:

  1. Small Business Saturday: The mindset is year-round, of course, but the Saturday after Thanksgiving is specifically dedicated to supporting small business during the holiday shopping season. Take advantage of this nationwide event, and the tools available to help small businesses succeed!
  2. Share those specials: Whether they’re exclusive to Small Business Saturday, or happening throughout the holiday season, leverage all your resources, including social media, to share those updates with existing fans and followers. Just remember to balance your “buy” messages with general and holiday-specific topics!
  3. Keep it exclusive: Looking to grow your email list or encourage social media account growth? Provide holiday product updates or specials exclusive to these groups. Everyone enjoys being a VIP!
  4. Why you: Do new customers know why they should purchase from you? Don’t forget to ask your existing customers to review your product or services on a site if your choice. Happy customers will typically be willing to help out a small business they love, but not unless they’re asked!
  5. Leverage new features: Small businesses have so many ways to showcase their products and services, especially with newer social media features. Don’t be afraid to post a quick video, change up your profile descriptions with holiday specials, or test other ways to potentially increase your holiday sales. Be creative!
  6. Help a friend (or favorite local product) out: This goes for anyone during the holiday season, and not only helps a small business, but also a friend with their holiday shopping list! Consider sharing out some of your favorite things on social media or during holiday gatherings. We can all be advocates for small businesses and local products! (Or, hey, it can also be a way to drop not-so-subtle hints about your holiday wish list! If our family overheard Loose Leaf Tea Market, Metta Yoga, Tempe Acupuncture Center or Healing Spirit Therapeutic Massage, we’d definitely be excited for those gifts!*)

Happy holidays!
